Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter or ghee
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the chicken bones and skin, and slice it into small pieces.
  3. Slice the bacon and cook it as you like.
  4. Season the chicken with salt (and pepper) and spread in a greased dish.
  5. Get a bowl and mix the chicken broth, Carnivore diet heavy whipped cream, and melted butter.
  6. Pour the batter over the chicken and distribute evenly.
  7. Spread the crumbled bacon on the chicken.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and cook through in the oven.
  9. Remove the chicken dish from the oven after about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and cover the casserole dish with shredded cheddar.
  10. Let the cheddar melt for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
